Thanksgiving 2007

Thanksgiving 2007. We have been so blessed and thankful to have spent such a successful weekend with Aaron's Family. His sister's family had a scary car accident driving from Oregon to Idaho, schedules were gratefully opened up enough for many of us to spend time with each other. It's never easy to get together, but always worth it! We love you guys! This is at home after the trip back from Idaho. We ended up leaving a day early since Isabelle started to get really sick. As you can tell in this photo, her cheeks are raspberry red and she had a drippy nose and watery eyes. Thankfully it cleared up by the following Tuesday and she's feeling much better! Her cousin Logan is only 2 months older than her, they had lots of fun!

Meet Aaron's Family-part 2

Thanksgiving 2007-part deux of Aaron's fantastic family! Meet Jason (16), Brandy (Aaron's older sister) and Ray Thomas. They live in Salem, OR-a few miles away from Aaron's high school stompin' grounds. This bunch is the life of the party! Without this trio, it's never quite as fun. Jason has passed up Aaron on height which is nuts! I actually feel short around him! We left Thanksgiving weekend a night earlier than expected and owe Brandy & Ray a game night, we'll make it up at the next gathering, be warned!!
Meet Parker (9), James (Aaron's older brother), Logan (1), Sophia (3), Lynette, & Kyler (6) Strohmeyer. They live in Las Vegas, NV. They have been so generous on many occasions allowing us to invade their home in Vegas, it's always a fun getaway. We have had some fun memories with this clan and look forward to many more!
Meet Eric (Aaron's older brother-or as some say-the long lost triplet), Katelin (8 months), and Becky Norton. They live in Parma, ID. They were nice enough to announce the expectancy of Katelin shortly after Isabelle's birth. Isabelle and Katelin will be two peas in a pod at family gatherings, we're excited to see their friendship grow!

Meet Aaron's Family-part 1

We spent Thanksgiving 2007 with Aaron's family. We drove 6 hours to Parma, ID-a small town on the border of Idaho & Oregon-or as we call it-the Norton Compound! We got to see a lot of Aaron's family, although some family members were unable to come. Here's a chance for you to get to know some of Aaron's family! Meet Shasta (14) and Pam Morris-Aaron's older sister and adorable neice. They live in Nampa, ID but have long time been in Texas. I think Pam said this was their first Thanksgiving with the family in over 20 years!! I wish they lived closer, Shasta would be the best babysitter and Pam has the best sense of humor!
Meet Alyssa (13), Frank, Cheryl (Aaron's older sister), and Adan (15) Robles. They live in Twin Falls, ID but have long time been in Arizona. We stayed with them when we saw the Utest play the Fiesta Bowl. Frank works for Qwest, Cheryl is one of the most giving people I know, Adan is a talented karate kid, and Alyssa is a beauty queen as you can see, lock her up!
Meet Steven (8ish?), Roni (Aaron's older brother), Joshua (12?), Roni Jr. (15) & Jeannie Strohmeyer. They live in Nampa, ID but have long time been in Florida & California. Roni is a professor of Genetics & Sciences at Northwest Nazarene University and you can imagine what a great Mom Jeannie is having raised 3 of the most well behaved boys on the planet!

Happy Anniversary to us!

November 15th, this year our Anniversary marks 6 years of marriage for us! I think I can say it feels about right, doesn't feel like it's been more or less than that. We celebrated with a date night. The last time Aaron and I saw a movie in the theaters was December of 2006 when Aaron's parents came to town and babysat Isabelle while we saw 007 with Adam & Joann. So a night at the movie's was a real treat! We went to dinner at Z'Tejas in Gateway-which used to be a favorite of ours, but in the past few years that we haven't visited it, it's changed so much we weren't as impressed-kinda a downer. We then saw "Dan in Real Life" which was hilarious and just what we needed on our night out together. On the way home, Aaron surprised me with a to-die for card, that must have taken hours to do, he's a very crafty man when it comes to things like this! He also gave me a much-wanted black fleece jacket I've worn almost daily ever since. I was able to give Aaron some Jazz vs. Blazers tickets for New Years Eve!

So if you can make it through the first awkward minute of mixed emotions by Izzy on this video, the last 2 minutes are pretty funny. But the icing on the cake is her smile she flashes at the end of the video. If you make it through the video, that smile is worth 1000 words!!! Way too funny!!!!
