29 Things...

I'm procrastinating productivity so I thought I'd do what my sister did on her blog, write about myself, the self many of you don't see about me. And 29 for the ages in years I am.
1. I am a numbers person, I love learning dates, phone numbers, patterns in numbers, whatever it is, I love numbers.
2. Contrary to number 1, I hated math through college.
3. One of my top 10 reasons to major in music was because the U of U didn't require music majors to fulfill the higher math class requirement. Worked for me.
4. I love the sound of my fingers typing on a keyboard.
5. I find no guilt in spending quiet time by myself catching up on mindless TV.
6. I shop at bath & body works two times a year-December and June and stock up for 6 months worth of my favorite body washes for myself and gifts.
7. I have my weekly default grocery list saved on my computer and edit it each week. I guess another excuse to hear myself type.
8. I really like watching Jazz games with Aaron, wish we were rich enough to get season tickets (and rich enough to pay a babysitter so we could go to all the games).
9. I am very big on making sure drawers, cupboards, doors are closed as much as possible.
10. I have big the biggest loser and probably the biggest gainer in weight during 2010. From January-May I had lost a total of 20 lbs and in the past 5 weeks of pregnancy I've gained 10. 'Tis the season!
11. I only like to look in the mirror and get ready once a day, even if I have a big evening event, the morning is it for me. Maybe a small touch up, but nothing big for round 2.
12. I HATE blow drying my hair, it never looks as good as the salon!
13. I cook dinner 5-7 nights a week. It's a good thing to be good at.
14. I don't wear shoes when I'm in the house, only when I'm going out.
15. I sleep with a body pillow, and so does Aaron and we LOVE them.
16. I can't sleep without the sheets straightened. I've literally had to get out of bed at 1:30 am before to straighten a messy bed I got in earlier in the night. If I can feel the bottom edge of my sheets with my toes, it ain't gonna happen for me.
17. My hair appointments every 2-3 months are my splurge. My stylist does 2 color treatments for me so that means I get two hair washings, which are GREAT!
18. I am a leg shaker, u'know, when you're sitting at the computer, one leg is always shaking?
19. I get extremely depressed without the lights on in my house during the day.
20. I like making lists, hence, this one.
21. I regret never wearing my retainer, now my teeth have shifted.
22. My house is picked up, but never really clean.
23. I like having organized clutter.
24. I find satisfaction in reconciling our checking account every month.
25. I really like my nail beds, both hands and feet.
26. I thrive with routine, of course when it's going in the right direction.
27. I don't like seafood other than fish.
28. I have travelled farthest to China, thanks to the violin
29. I am really excited to be 30, FINALLY!

Wordy and noteworthy...

Sweet November

November is a month of thanksgiving. Giving thanks should be something I do always, and of course like the rest of us, forget to do so but at this time of year, it becomes more in the forefront of my mind. This November was by far no exception...

1. I'm so very thankful for Aaron. We celebrated our 9th anniversary on the 15th of November. Words cannot express how much I appreciate what he is to me. Marriage is a delicate and living thing. Without nourishment it can be compromised. He has held our marriage together in so many ways. He is everything to me. Without him I am weak. Without him I am less than I can be when I'm with him. He has shown me unconditional love lately and I only hope I return the gesture to the same degree someday. Thank you for sticking by me Aaron. I love you.

2. I am thankful for my children. Healthy kids are such a blessing. My current pregnancy has been such a breeze and having two kids already to keep track of has been so encouraging to keep going at a decent pace. I am so thankful that my health and pregnancy has not effected the time I can devote to my kids.

3. I am thankful for jobs and our house. Looking back to last November, Aaron was unemployed, I had also cut-back dramatically on my work-load, we had a small 3 month-old, I had severe post-partum depression, and the daily routine seemed daunting. This year has proven to me that all things have their season. I'm grateful for our circumstances this year!

4. I am thankful for my friends. I rely heavily on the inspiration of those around me who have positive attitudes and can help lighten the load. Motherhood can feel isolating at times and I'm thankful for friends who are there for me for a 30-minute mid-day chat, a facebook vent, or a funny text message. What would I do w/o technology to keep me connected! I guess I'm grateful for technology!!!

5. I am thankful for my religion. My testimony is the gospel of Jesus Christ has had it's ups and downs. It's recently gone through a unique process to help me see the importance of it in my life. I'm grateful for what it can give me. Peace, forgiveness, comfort, and strength.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. (haha)

And then there were 5!

(In August) Here we are, enjoying a day at the beach! My sister Emily lives 3 hours away from gorgeous North Topsail Beach, NC. We couldn't stay away any longer, we planned a beach vacation and loved swimming in the Atlantic!

Izzy had soooo much fun with her cousin Catriona. They were instant BFF's!

Gorgeous!

Izzy and Tristan loved making pools in the sand to catch tiny silver fish as the tide would come in. See it in her hand?

Livi loved the fact she could walk in the sand, not crawl!

Izzy had a blast in the ocean with cousins Tristan (5), Preston (16), Catriona (12)

And of course, making mermaid tails! For all you Mom's of Barbie lovers, Izzy was "Merliah" all week singing "queen of waaa-aa-a-aves"

Nothing like sand and ocean water to keep you happy in the summertime!

How cute is Livi? p.s. behind her is a shot of the condo's we stayed in. It is sooo worth it be directly on the beach, especially to check on a napping baby :)

Livi started walking on July 23-that makes her a 10 month old walker! She is trying to make up the 3 year age gap between her and Izzy. She's doing a great job of it! She's a sweetie, and I have to remind myself all the time what a good baby she is, she's not going to be our baby for very much longer!
I snuck a waterskiing trip into my early pregnancy. It was so exciting to coast across the water. I wish I could do it more often!

I had a fun visit with extended family at a reunion this summer for my Dad's side of the family. Again, hiding a 12 week baby bump here. So sneaky!

The Kunz family gathered together at Grandma's House for fun together and Izzy kept a close eye on Grandpa Kunz's icecream churning skills!

Izzy with her only girl-Kunz-cousins: Amanda (17) Anne (10) Allison (9) (minus Catriona-who she visited with lots at the beach!)

Aaron & Adam turned 31 in August. Officially in their 30's! Aaron is in full swing Ute Football Season-getting the girls into it as well. (Notice the shiny "official ute gear" sticker on Izzy's shirt-she refused to throw it away after buying the shirt)

(In September) Izzy's first day of 2nd year preschool at Children's Discovery Preschool. She goes MWF mornings and she absolutely LOVES it.
Olivia Claire turned 1 in September, wow, already! She's a walking, laughing, sleeping, yelling, babbling, crying, eating, napping, sharing, pooping, teething, cuddling, destroying champion 1 year old!

Theee only photo of her looking at the camera on her birthday.

(In October) Halloween 2010.
Aaron made a scary mummy. Not the most rain-friendly costume, but original!

Family photo, look how happy we all look!

My little unicorn, halloween-season nose and all. Love this girl!

Izzy got to wear her costume to violin group lesson.

Total Kodak moment, beautiful fall day-great for a pony ride!
Izzy's a "mommy-unicorn." Livi was her baby (that hadn't grown wings yet)

And last of all...

In case you haven't heard, we are adding another to our family. March 20, 2011 is our due date for our baby boy. This pregnancy has been a piece of cake thus far, no nausea and I hid my belly until 18 weeks!

Sizzlin Summer

We love summer!! Yes we do! We love summer, how 'bout you?!
After a fun birthday party for Izzy! She's 4 years old, wow!!!

Precious moments!

Izzy and her neighbor boyfriend Pierce

Hiking with a friend and the girls...

Our little Livi-10 months old!
21 pounds
6 teeth
crawling, standing, walking with support

My girls with their older and wiser cousins Amanda & Anne

Kodak moment!

Izzy's 4th Birthday Party!!!!
Tons of fun!
12 friends, water balloons, swim suits, cupcakes, water slide,
pizza, candles, presents,balloons, prizes,
streamers, and great memories!

4th of July weekend. Aaron's family in IDAHO had a family
party for the weekend. Aaron had to work over the weekend,
so Adam and I drove Izzy and Livi up to good ol' Parma, ID.
We had a great time, lots of great time with cousins,
aunts, uncles, and of course, Grandma & Grandpa Pony!

My oh-so-theraputic Girls Getaway trip to Las Vegas with Sarah & Kailee. Lots of Rest, Relaxation, Un-interrupted Conversation, Pool-time, deep sleep, pedicures, massages, restaurants, shopping, all in just 3 days!

Here's a Mimi-montage!

This is pretty typical when Mimi and Livi are in the same room.
I think this is what is making Livi so close to walking!
She wants to get away from that puppy!

A good representation of the two attitudes towards Mimi.
Izzy = IN LOVE and Livi = not-so-much!

Aaron and I have really been living up the good life this summer!!!
We have been doing something fun almost every weekend.
This summer we feel like we're really doing things we want to do
and have wanted to do for a long time!
It's going by fast and we're trying to enjoy every minute of it!

Diamond Rio Concert!!

"I start walkin' your way, you start walkin' mine,
we meet in the middle, 'neath that ol Georgia Pine!!"
Us amidst Salt Lake's finest wranglers, perms, mullets, and whole-lotta hee-haw.
